Utilizing the Nursing Process, the Registered Nurse (RN), under the supervision of the Department Head and with the authority of the Chief Nursing Officer, coordinates patient-centered care meeting both the psychological and physical needs of the patients and ensures optimal care and service in accordance with physician orders, The Joint Commission, nursing and departmental guidelines. The Registered Nurse fulfills these duties to ensure continuity and quality of care which fosters the best interest and well being of all patients and their families.Education:Graduate from a school of professional nursing with current licensure as a Registered Nurse from the Nevada State Board of Nursing or current licensure. Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification is required. If not current, BLS certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire and ACLS, and PALS must be obtained within one year of hire. Experience:Previous experience in Emergency Room Department is preferred.
